Omotesandō Adventure

Description

Likely the first Japanese text adventure game, Omotesandō Adobenchā ("Omotesando Adventure") was published as a type-in in the 1982 edition of Nenkan AhSKI! ("Yearly Ah-SKI!"), a yearly parody issue of the Japanese magazine Monthly ASCII. The player takes control of an employee of a rival magazine, who must sneak into the offices of Monthly ASCII and sabotage their operations, all without getting caught (Omotesandō is the street where the offices of ASCII were located at the time). The entire game is in (somewhat poor) English. Unlike most adventure games, here the objects and exits present in the room are not listed until the LOOK command is used.
