Ooze: The Escape

You play as Ooze, a sentient blob. You must guide it through laboratories and ventilation ducts in order to escape from the evil Machines. To escape, you must disable the four force fields by finding their corresponding coloured code keys and inserting them into the central system.

You must avoid contact with the robots guarding the complex, as well as environmental hazards such as crushers and toxic gas pipes. You have no way of defending yourself and must use precision timing to avoid the various dangers, as well as being able to defy gravity by clinging to the ceiling, similar to games such as VVVVVV.

The controls are simply left, right and fire to flip between the floor and the ceiling. You start with five lives and can gain extra lives hidden throughout the complex. You die instantly if you touch a hazard. There is no checkpointing and you reset at the start of the screen you died on. The game ends when all force fields are deactivated and you can reach the exit.
