Pac-Man: Battle Royale - CHOMPionship
Description
Pac-Man: Battle Royale - CHOMPionship is a multiplayer Pac-Man and the sequel to the 2011 title Pac-Man: Battle Royale. It retains the original concept where players compete with each other to try to eat each other before they touch a ghost or get eaten. The maximum number of supported players is now eight instead of four, each with their own color (yellow, pink, blue, red, dark green, orange, light green, and purple). The game has a faster pace, supports ten new types of power-ups that bounce around the maze, similar to Ms. Pac-Man, there are multiple lives per round, there is a score counter per player, a leaderboard and a function to highlight your Pac-Man when the screen gets busy.
The power-ups are:* 1UP: adds one life.
- Banana Peel: causes Pac-Man to slip and skid uncontrollably.
- Caffeine: boosts Pac-Man's speed.
- Chili Pepper: burns nearby ghosts or other Pac-Men.
- Earthquake: causes all players to slow down.
- Ghost Magnet: allows Pac-Man to pick up ghosts and carry them around as a weapon.
- Ghost Sheet: makes Pac-Man invisible to ghosts.
- Gold Power Pellet: allows Pac-Man to eat the ghosts.
- Green Super Pellet: makes Pac-Man big. Allows Pac-Man to eat both ghosts and other Pac-Men.
- Lightning: zaps nearby ghosts or other Pac-Men.
- Smoke Bomb: releases a smoke explosion that slows down ghosts.
Three different arcade models exist: a cocktail table model that can be linked with another one for up to eight players, a deluxe model that is similar to the cocktail model but larger in size with a screen built in the table and additional spectator screen, and a projector model without joysticks as players link their smartphones instead.
