Panic

Panic is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

A band of inter-galactic reptilians bent on mutating and destroying the player's peace-loving civilizations is on the attack. As Commander of Civil Defense, the player must crush the marauders.

The player controls a ship at the bottom of the screen that moves laterally and fires vertically. Bouncing on the screen are regulators and eggs. Regulators are destroyed when hit, but eggs break into 3 smaller beams. These beams when destroyed will drop beams to the bottom of the screen, leaving a barrier the player can't cross. The player starts with 5 lives.
