Description
Parfait: Chocolat Second Brew is a Japanese adult visual novel and the sequel to Chocola: Maid Cafe "Curio", set two years after the events of that game.
This time, the player takes on the role of Hitoshi Takamura, a café owner who used to run his late brother's café, Famille, until it burned down. Six months after the accident, Hitoshi gets a chance to resurrect his business when he is offered a new building inside a mall that he could turn into a branch of Famille. The drawback? Directly across from this building is a branch of Curio, the immensely popular coffee shop that Famille was inspired by.
The heroines are part-timers Asuka Yukino, Kasuri Suzunami, and Yui Kazami; Hitoshi's stepsister Ema Sugisawa; Hitoshi's former colleague Rikako Natsumi; and Curio's manager, Rea Katori. The gameplay system has been refined since Chocola, though the game still progresses in increments of days and the player still uses a map to select which location they want to visit, with the six heroines represented on the map as chibi sprites. The player's decisions determine how the game ends.
