Pharaoh's Pitfall

Description

Pharaoh's Pitfall is a collection of four Egyptian-themed, single-player mini-games, each having two game modes: Relax and Time Attack.

The games are:

  • Pyramid's Panic
In this game the player has to race around a tomb-themed maze collecting gems. Ghosts of Tutankhamun appear in the maze; if these catch the player then it is Game Over. However, they can be stunned by shooting them. Also in the maze are treasure boxes which contain either good and bad power-ups. This game can be played with either the keyboard or the mouse.

  • Egypt pairs
This is a mouse-controlled game; it is a version of Mahjong solitaire in which pairs of identical tiles can be removed if a line with no more than two direction changes can connect them. The game is level-based; the later levels have progressively more and more tiles to remove.

  • Nylus Danger
In this Minesweeper variant, the hazards are crocodiles rather than mines. The player controls a frog who must be jumped from one stone block to another. When the blocks are pushed down, they will either reveal a crocodile, in which case the player loses a life, a number indicating how many adjacent crocodiles there are, or it will clear adjacent blocks that have neither a number nor a crocodile. This game too is level-based, with later levels having more hazards and more blocks.

  • Moboc
This is a Mastermind variant in which the player has eight attempts to deduce the sequence of four Scarabs. It has no high score table but does remember previous high scores for each of the games.
