Pine Creek
Description
Pine Creek is a story-driven adventure game about the disappearance of a young girl, who was seemingly murdered with a satanic background. It takes place in the fictional eponymous small town of Pine Creek and the next bigger city Apricot City. You are playing as Adso, who - together with his friends Karen and Cassidy - is trying to find out what happened to their common friend Judith, the murdered girl.
The story contains both funny and dark elements and is split into several days, with certain tasks - also mentioned in an ingame notebook - to be achieved on that day. Apart from that (quite short) main story there are also about 100 other characters to talk to, each with their own little lore to discover, and three included minigames, playable in the town's Arcade hall or the player's home.
The player is controlled similar to other games such as Pokémon via direct control in a diagonal-down perspective of the two towns. It is possible to save the game state at any time (when the player has control).
