Pokémon Dream World

Description

The Pokémon Dream World was available through the Pokémon Global Link website. Players of Pokémon Black, White, Black 2, and White 2 versions could sync their save file with the Global Link and optionally send a Pokémon from their game to the Dream World.

Each player had their own home and garden. The garden was used to grow berries, which had to be watered periodically to ensure optimal growth. Berries could be sent back to the player's synced save file or exchanged for furniture for their Dream World house. A shelf near the player's house could have items placed on it, which other Dream World users were then free to trade their own items for. Items not on the shelf were stored in a treasure chest inside the house, from which they could be sent to the player's synced DS game.

The player's Pokémon could also explore the Isle of Dreams, where they could find wild Pokémon to play with and items to collect. By completing minigames, the player could befriend wild Pokémon and later choose one to send back to their linked save file. Pokémon befriended on the Isle of Dreams typically came with abilities not normally available to their species, such as a Squirtle with Rain Dish.

Dream Points were earned by performing certain actions in the Dream World, and could be used to unlock new areas on the Isle of Dreams or expand the amount of space available in the garden. If at least 500 points were earned in a single play session, the player's Pokémon would level up after being woken up.
