Poker Palace
Description
Poker Palace is a single player implementation of a card game known generally as Poker Squares, Poker Solitaire, or Poker Patience.
In the standard game the player to build the best poker hands using just 25 cards from the deck that are arranged in a 5 x 5 grid, in this implementation the player has two such grids and a game timer to contend with.
Poker hands in each grid are scored both horizontally, vertically, diagonally, and the four corners plus the 'top card'. Cards cannot be swapped between the grids so what starts out in the right/left grid stays there.
Points are scored for each poker hand made. The game has a high score table and when it was released it was possible for players to compete with other players by uploading their scores to an on-line Hall of Fame. In 2015 the site which supported this feature is no longer active.
