Polis: Det blå fallet
Description
Polis: Det blå fallet (Police: The Blue Case) is a year 2000 standalone re-release of the case Vänner för alltid (Friends Forever) from the first Polis game.
As the main investigator of the Stockholm Crime Scene Investigators, you investigate a murder to try to catch up the killer. To be able to solve the case you will have to make use of the full extent of the Swedish police force. To optimise your use of resources you need to use your own intuition. Plan your moves carefully and pick the right police unit for the task. As in reality every murder investigation is a race against time. Traces grow cold and witnesses forget. But remember - an investigation that doesn't bear fruit will not get further funding.
This case starts when it is early morning and the popular party cruise ship has just docked in the harbour of Stockholm. For the Bartender Joseph disembarkment usually signifies the end of a long and tedious work day. Which it could have been if he hadn't chosen the route passed the pool area.
The game is played like a turn-based tactical game where police forces (Recon, investigators, lab techs) are sent out on a map to gather information about the case. Adventure game-style FMV interrogations takes place any time a witness is questioned and it is what the game series is famous for.
