Popeye in High Seas High-Jinks

Popeye in High Seas High-Jinks was a planned side-scrolling 2D platformer based on the classic comic strip. The evil Sea Hag has stolen away Olive Oyl, and it's up to Popeye to rescue her. Popeye must navigate through side-scrolling levels while defeating enemies by punching them and tossing whiffle eggs at them.

Popeye was set to be published by Technos and was announced in 1994 alongside two other Popeye games that were released that year: Popeye Beach Volleyball for Game Gear and Popeye: Ijiwaru Majo Seahag no Maki for Super Famicom. This game was incomplete at the time it was cancelled; it was playable beginning to end, but unpolished. A late-development build was made public in 2025 as a part of the Video Game History Foundation's Sega Channel collection.
