Port Man
Description
Port Man is a fixed screen arcade game taking place in a cargo facility. You control a character who is tasked with loading and unloading goods. Each level has two stages.
In the first stage, luggage is thrown from a conveyor belt onto the dock. You have to catch these before they bounce off-screen, and then throw them onto one of the free spaces on a transport ship. The ship moves slowly back and forwards with the waves, and a poorly placed throw will be lost in the sea. Additionally, there are various carts which slowly move about the screen that you must avoid by climbing ladders between platforms. There is also a thug throwing rocks at you from the deck of the ship, which will cost a life if you are hit. Completely filling a stack on the ship will cause the thug to lose balance and fall into the water. If you do not fill all of the stacks before the cargo runs out, the game ends. Once the ship is full, you go to the next stage.
Stage 2 is about transporting dynamite. You are armed with a stone which you can throw at a conveyor belt of explosives. The stone will bounce around until it hits either you (costing a life), a thug, or one of the packages of dynamite causing it to fall. If you catch the dynamite, you earn points. If you miss, then one of the planks of the area you are working in will explode, killing you if you are standing on it. The stage ends once all of the packages of explosives have been removed from the screen. As in the previous stage, there are thugs throwing rocks at you which you must avoid.
After both stages are complete, the next level starts, repeating these stages with possibly increased speed.
