PowBall Renaissance
Description
PowBall Renaissance is a Breakout variant and a modern reboot of the 1995 game PowBall by the same developer. It is set in post-apocalyptic space and you are a Rockhopper collecting Alchemite to trade for ammo to help advance through the various levels of bricks. This game keeps the same style of gameplay as the original version, but with modern graphics and a new set of levels. This release is not the same as PowBall Deluxe, which is an updated version of the original game to make it compatible with modern computers.
The game supports local multiplayer games with up to three players on the same computer. A weapon shop adds another dimension to gameplay, which includes economics that change the prices each level depending on supply and demand, forcing the gamer to plan more and use weapons sparingly. Various sub-games break-up the usual Breakout action at the end of each level.
The game has support for keyboard, mouse, touch screen, game controllers, and even tilt. There are over 230 levels.
