Proto-7: Mission Beneath Enemy Waters

Proto-7 is a 1-player submarine game for the TRS-80 CoCo.

The player is put in charge of the Proto-7 submarine, an experimental craft that is twice as fast as its opponents and heavily armed. The goal is to evade enemy submarines and destroy the enemy base and return to the rendezvous point. The play area is divided into a 100 x 100 square map, and the player can set 8 possible directions and the speed as stop, half, and full. An overview map shows the player position and all enemy vessels and the tactical map shows the exact location of nearby vessels. The radar pings each turn, with an additional ping for each enemy submarine within radar range. The player has 10 torpedoes which fire in the direction the player is facing. If hit by a single enemy torpedo, it's game over.
