Pulsar

In Pulsar the player's task is to mine terellium ore from solar systems whose stars are about to go supernova. In each level the player controls a robot mining vessels around a star in an attempt to collect as many ore rocks as possible. When the star is close to exploding a mothership will appear and the player has to attempt docking with it before it leaves. If not the player will ultimately be destroyed in the explosion and lose one life. Other things to look out for are the gamma rays that are emitted from the star. If hit by these the value of the ore is reduced. There are also comets that one should avoid crashing into and space pirates that use tractor beams to steel the player's ore. If the vessel is hit by the beam when out of ore it will be destroyed.
