Q1K3

Description
Q1K3 is a playable recreation of two levels of Quake (E1M1 and E1M3) within 13kb of JavaScript, created as an entry for the HTML5 and JavaScript game development competition Js13kGames. Like Quake, Q1K3 is a first-person shooter where the objective is to reach the exit of each level, using ranged weapons to combat a variety of enemies.
The game includes low-poly recreations of three usable weapons (the shotgun, nailgun, and grenade launcher) and five types of enemies (Rottweilers, Grunts, Enforcers, Zombies, and Ogres). The first level is set in a futuristic military base, while the second level is set in a gothic horror-inspired dimension. The player has a health bar which depletes with damage but can be replenished by walking over health kits. Dying will respawn the player at the beginning of the level they died on.
One change from Quake is that the shotgun in Q1K3 has an infinite ammunition reserve. The nailgun and grenade launcher must still be refilled by collecting ammo packs.
Despite its small file size, Q1K3 has thirty different textures, dynamic lightning, functional doors, and an original soundtrack.
