QWERTY

Description

QWERTY is a word building game with letter tiles played on a rectangular board, similarly to Scrabble. When their turn comes, the players must form a word of two or more letters by dragging and placing them in a horizontal or vertical sequence on the board. Every letter in use scores 10 points, but if it covers a star square the reward is increased by 50 points. Words can only be readable from top to bottom or from left to right, and they must be connected to at least one other of the player's previous words. Later in the game, it becomes possible to connect to the opponent's sequence of words as well. To win the game it's necessary to reach a total of 800 points first.

Occasionally, a blank tile will appear. It is basically a wild tile that can be used in place of any other letter to form words. Another helpful feature is the Exchange button, which allows the player to replace a selected number of letters with others. In that case, all the points won in the current turn are lost. QWERTY can be played both against a human opponent or the computer, and before the start different options such as the number of points necessary to win or the pattern of the stars can be changed.
