Racer

Speed Race or Racer/Wheels in the US, is an early arcade racing game released at arcades. It features sprites for cars in a top down view. The player's car is controlled with a steering wheel attached to the arcade cabinet, an accelerator and gear shift. The player's speed is shown on a separate speedometer rather than on-screen in most versions of the cabinet (not shown in others). The racing track scrolls, continues straight ahead, but features different widths. Either one or two players (alternating) can race gaining points for cars overtaken. There are two difficulty levels.
