Rance IX: The Helmanian Revolution

Description
Rance IX: The Helmanian Revolution is an adult tactical role-playing game and the ninth primary instalment in the Rance series, following Rance Quest. Players once again step into the shoes of the sex-obsessed knight Rance as he is recruited by Patton Misnarge, the former prince of the Helman Empire, to lead a rebel army to overthrow the empire's corrupt government. Rance accepts, seeing an opportunity to seize more power and all of the beautiful women that comes with it, though he also intends to find a way to free Sill Plain, his former slave who was frozen in ice during the events of the previous game.
As the first mainline Rance game to be directed by Purin rather than TADA, Rance IX takes inspiration from Purin's previous game Mamatoto: A Record of War, sharing many of the same story beats and character archetypes. Gameplay-wise, Rance IX is a tactical RPG with occasional visual novel-esque segments.
In the RPG segments, the player controls Rance and his party in turn-based battles on a grid. Rance and his allies have varying statistics and equipment that can be upgraded or exchanged with items or currency earned during battles. In the visual novel segments, the player can make decisions that may influence the direction of the story. Skill points can be used to upgrade characters' stats, gold can be used to upgrade weapons and armor, and monkey orbs can used to unlock sex scenes in a new game mode called Rance Mode in which Rance can have sex with the game's seven heroines and deepen their relationship. Rance's relationship to the heroines will determine how the story ends.
