Random Defence 2

Game cover: Random Defence 2

Description

Random Defence 2 is a tower defense type of game where the player chooses a map or path, as well as the difficulty level, and should stop creeps from walking through the entire path from start to finish.

The creeps are random creatures that include, but are not limited to, suited men, mouths, angry clouds and super kittens. They get stronger each level and are divided into 3 main types, default (no prefix), FAST and BOSS. They can vary in numbers and distance between each creep, and sometimes come with armor against certain types of towers.

The player must stop these creeps from getting to their goal by planting turrets and mines to slay them. It's also possible to upgrade turrets directly increasing their stats. There are 4 main group of towers: Gun, Explosives, Electric and Misc. The creeps can be armored to 1 or more of the mentioned groups (except Misc, towers from this group are affected by creep armor of any type), and each group of towers has a Research Center which unlocks new towers of that group, new upgrades for available towers and increases the power for every tower of that group.

All towers built cost 3 things: Cash, resources and power. Cash can be obtained by killing creeps, and a 2% interest is calculated at the start of every level on how much cash the player has. Resources are of 4 different ores and are obtained by planting mines that extract them from the ground. They must be placed where there is a high density of the ore with the same color as the mine (simply hover the tower around the map to find a good spot). Lastly, power is maintained at a steady rate and is used constantly to let turrets function. The player must plant power stations to get enough power for all their turrets (usually, you already start with 1 or more power stations to help you), otherwise they won't function. Some turrets also overheat and must have cooling towers placed nearby.

Once 20 creeps get through the game is over and the player can upload their scores online depending on the selected difficulty (only Normal and Extreme allow for online scoreboards).
