Rat Race

Rat Race is a 1-player arcade game for the BBC Micro.

The player must try to rescue the beautiful princess from the rat king. The player moves in the cardinal directions, and has 99 time units to reach the princess.

Fields of trees which serve as obstacles constantly appear on the screen, and the player is chased by a small robot which continuously follows the player. There are also yellow circles which cost the player a life if moved on. If the player reaches the princess, a new one immediately appears on the screen. The player starts with five lives.
