Ray Trace Fighter

Description

Ray Trace Fighter is another stick-figure fighting game from DAN-BALL. This time it mixes elements of 3D and 2D along with the heavy use of ray tracing technology. This combination is why the creators describe the game as a "real time ray trace fighting simulation" game. Ray Trace Fighter has two objectives: the first is to experiment with Ray Tracing, and the second is to kill stick figure opponentsĀ until the player dies.

A single white dot orbits the aircraft on which the character and fighters stand during gaming. Due to the presence of the items, the character, and the fighters, this light source will brighten the plane and produce shadows. There are two objects in the game; cubes and spheres. Spheres may be used to change the environment and lighting effects by altering the sphere color, placement, and amount while also acting as a light blocker. Cubes are similar to Spheres but in the form of an extended box. The objects are there to both demonstrate ray tracing and to serve as obstacles in the fighting arena.
