Read Along with Postman Pat (included game)

Description
Read Along With Postman Pat is an educational title for young children. The main part of this title are two Postman Pat stories which are accessed via the Pat's Diary option from the main menu, they are;Postman Pat's Sleepy Days* which tells the story of a week in Pat's life when he could not get to sleep. At the end of the story there's a summary of the tale followed by a short animation featuring key words after which Pat shows some flash cards and asks for help reading them.
- Postman Pat's Three Wishes. This is the shorter of the stories and tells the tale of a day when Pat wished he could fly like a bird, run as fast as a dog and swim like a fish. At the end of this tale there is no 'flash card' sequence as in the previous story.
Both stories were released in 1994 on a VHS video tape called Read Along With Postman Pat and, apart from the addition of a menu Postman Pat's Sleepy Days they appear unchanged. The credits at the end of the DVD stories are the same as the credits of the VHS tape and are also dated 1994.
This DVD title also has a Fun With Pat section which contains some interactive games, the full contents of this section are;* Comic Strip: This is a short story in comic form with one or two panes to the screen. Beneath the pictures are short sentences and a speaker button which, if clicked on, gives the child the spoken sentence
- Colour Your Picture: Three pictures that could be printed via a p.c. Together with an invitation to send them to become part of the great Postman Pat exhibition.
- Pats Bag: Pat is emptying a letter box in the country when he drops his letters. The child clicks on a letter and this brings up a screen with a picture on the right while on the left is are eight words, the child must select the word that matches the picture. There are four letters per game and at the end the child gets a 'Well Done' message
- Choose A Shape: This is a single screen with three animals in it together with three outline shapes. A question mark appears in one of the outlines and the child must select the creature that matches the outline. Each correct answer triggers a short animation showing the animal together with the appropriate word. When all three have been answered correctly there's another 'Well Done' screen accompanied by a lot of cheering.
