Real Sound: Echoing Sky

Description
Real Sounds: Echoing Sky is a "visual novel", however without any actual visuals (except for the background image in the main menu). The whole story is told via text only, using the operating system's text-to-speech engine for speech output.
The Ascension Islands are known for their isolated location in the Atlantic Ocean and historically relevant because of the first known "Terraforming" experiment by Charles Darwin / Joseph Hooker before being used as a military base. Now a new experiment is supposed to be carried out there, but no one really has any details on what is supposed to be about. You play as an exorcist - sent by the Vatican - to investigate the ethics of the experiment, but also the disappearance of a priest and consecutively a whole village on the Ascension Islands.
You can move between several places and examine objects and buildings, all controlled via text menus. Finding evidence or clues will allow to proceed the story, resulting in one of five possible endings, with some of the endings only accessible when playing the game multiple times. The game also contains a "Codex", containing information about both the historical and fictional events and people of the game, along with a "Music Room" to listen to the game's soundtrack.
