Retro Mystery Club Vol.1: The Ise-Shima Case
Description
Ise-Shima Mystery Annai: Itsuwari no Kuro Shinju, is a detective/mystery adventure game stylized in retro NES graphics and gameplay features. The player follows detective Ken on his journey from Tokyo to the national park of Ise-Shima after the discovery of a corpse in Ueno Onshi Park. During his travel, collecting clues about the mysterious murder and its connections with a mysterious black pearl, called "Aozetsu", lead Ken to a confrontation with a criminal called Anata. More murders and mysteries follow whilst at Ise-Shima.
The player can start a dialog with several NPCs and can gather information which can be used to solve clues. The interface and style of the game are reminiscent of old NES games (most notably one the precursors, Portopia Renzoku Satsujin Jiken) and only require a selection of the correct answer/word or phrase to continue.
