RIB Challenge

RIB Challenge is intended to advertise the RIBs 4 kids course (RYA Powerboat Level 1) at Salcombe Powerboat School, which is directed on a practical introduction to boat handling and safety for children aged 8+ during 1 day, and it is available at their website. It places the player behind the wheel of the rigid inflatable powerboat (RIB) to see how quickly 10 missions around Salcombe, UK England, will be completed.

When a target objective is given to the player, the map can be checked to find the positions of the RIB and the target. The player should move the RIB to the target as quickly as possible after that. Controls allow forward and reverse movements as well as steering left and right to avoid the objects on the water. When near, an arrow above the target is shown. It is needed to gently bump the target to complete the mission and switch to another. When all the missions are completed, the time score is shown to beat it for a next time or to be proud and join the school for a go at the real thing.
