Rik the Roadie

Rik the Roadie is a 1-player arcade game for multiple systems.

The player controls Rik, roadie to the world famous pop group, Alternative Rock. In order for Alternative Rock to stay popular, Rik must get all their equipment to the gig, take it into the hall, and set up the sound levels before the gig starts.

The game is divided into 3 stages. In stage 1, the player controls Alternative Rock's van. The player can accelerate and decelerate the van, and steer left and right. The player has 6 minutes to drive 200 miles. If the player hits another vehicle they lose 30 seconds as the van is repaired.

In stage 2, the player must carry the equipment from the van into the hall. As amplifiers and speakers are very heavy, the player can not hold them long. The player must press buttons to move their feet as fast as possible before their endurance runs out and they drop their equipment.

Stage 3, Finally, the equipment is set up, and the player must set the power levels. The player must set the power level to red in all 4 channels. When all 4 levels are set, the player can sit back and watch world famous Alternative Rock perform live on stage.
