Robert Redford Saves the Day: Episode 1: Getting There is the first part of a humorous point-and-click adventure game series. The player takes control of Robert Redford, who receives an important mission from God to head to Lopensville and get Mrs. Plumberstein's cat off a tree. In the first episode, Robert is trying to get aboard a plane that will take him to the distant town.

The game uses a classic point-and-click interface, with the player cycling between various actions (walk/look/interact/talk) with the right mouse button or via a menu at the top of the screen.
