Robotics;Note is a sci-fi visual novel centered around many characters, in particular around the main antagonist Yashio Kaito. Like many visual novels the gameplay is based around interaction with characters and reading text dialogues on screen. Depending on one's choices in those narratives and dialogues different endings can occur which determines the various possible endings of the game. Text screens are intermittently switched with CG artwork and movies. During the game the player can interact with the environment with the use of the Poke-com Trigger (a variant of the Steins;Gate Phone Trigger system). These interactions are a map application, a social network application (personal interactions) and an augmented reality image recognition application (informational/environmental interactions).
