Rummy

Rummy is very likely to be the oldest computer implementation of a gin rummy variant, albeit in a simplified form. The player plays against the computer. Both computer and player are dealt four cards and take turns taking a card from the deck and discarding a card. The game does not count runs, so it boils down to being the first player to get a four of a kind.
