Runes of Avalon

You are Evelyne, an apprentice to Merlin. You have been studying with the great Merlin to learn the ways of magic. Suddenly, one day, Merlin is magically snatched away! He whispers 'Morganna le Fey' as he vanishes and tells you to seek help from the Lady of the Lake. You must gather runes to gain power to free Merlin and defeat Morganna.

Runes of Avalon is a tile-matching game. You will have from one to four tiles and must place them on the board so as to create rows of three or more of the same colored tile. Clearing these tiles fills up vials on the left of the screen. When the vials are full, the level is over. Pressing the right mouse button rotates the tiles. You will encounter mini-games as you play, like clicking on a rune shown on screen or swapping tiles to put a picture back together. The runes mini-game gains you spells like the holy cross flame that destroys tiles in a cross-shaped area or the bomb that destroys tiles in a five-by-five square.
