Sanitron

Sanitron is a 1-player arcade game for the Apple II.

The player controls a small vessel which can rotate 360 degrees, and can accelerate the direction it is currently facing. The ship is equipped with a limited number of shield bursts which protects it from alien vessels and obstacles, and well as a cannon which can fire the direction the ship faces. The goal is to blast all alien shapes on the screen. Larger items will break into multiple smaller items when shot. Alien saucers will appear on the screen and fire at the player. When a level is cleared, the player progresses to a more difficult challenge. There are 3 ships at the beginning, and it's game over when all are lost.
