Sargon 2.5
Description
Sargon 2.5 is an improved version of the Sargon II chess AI. The game was commercially released as a module for two modular chess computers, but already played its first game at the American Computer Chess Championship of 1979 as a standalone program. On the modular chess computers it was the first to show the opponent's moves on the board itself using small LEDs instead of using chess notation on a separate display.
