Saru Get You: Million Monkeys

Saru Get You: Million Monkeys follows Ape Escape 3 and serves as a narrative sequel to Ape Escape: Pumped & Primed, continuing the franchise's blend of humor, chaos, and gadget-driven gameplay. The story is split between two campaigns: "Team Kakeru," where players join protagonist Kakeru and friends to stop Specter's latest world domination plot in a war-torn Tokyo, and "Team Specter," which flips the perspective by letting players control Specter as he discovers and combats a rogue Pipotron impersonator who has taken command of his monkey army.

Gameplay in Million Monkeys shifts away from the traditional emphasis on capturing monkeys with a net, introducing large-scale battles, weapon-based combat, and more intense action sequences. Players can use an array of gadgets and weapons, such as laser guns and melee tools, to defeat enemies and complete mission objectives, making the experience feel more like a hybrid of action and arena fighting than the series' earlier platforming-focused entries. The game also features a versus mode, allowing for competitive multiplayer battles using characters from the main campaign.
