Search&Play Plus

Search&Play Plus is an "interactive database for computer games" published by the German Federal Agency for Civic Education (FACE, abbreviated BpB in German). It contains descriptions, reviews (often by children that played the game) and pedagogical ratings of contemporary games, including several scientific articles about video games in general.

Users were not only able to browse the database, but could also add their own reviews or completely new games, guided by a (customizable, e.g. for school classes) wizard. The reviews could then be sent to the federal agency or even uploaded to their web server directly. The same way it was possible to download or import new games or reviews from FACE.

Along with the reviews the disc also provides several games:

• Eco Quest II: Das Geheimnis des Regenwalds (Lost Secret of the Rainforest) in German; this is the first (and to date only known) release of the German version of the game.
