Seid

Seid is a platform game made in Game Maker, where the player controls a character named Seid who is tasked with finding a stolen mask. The character is controlled with arrow keys, and can shoot by pressing Space, firing bullets randomly left and right. On each level, the goal is to find the level goal, usually represented by a door. There's a limited amount of health depleted by getting shot by enemies, which can be replenished by collecting health pickups. The enemies typically fire an endless hail of bullets, forcing the player to dodge. The protagonist has no animation whatsoever, and his sprite uses pixel-perfect collision checking, which means that he can e.g. hold onto platform edges with his hair.
