Shep Hard

Shep Hard is an action game with strategy elements, created for the 2013 edition of the Indie Speed Run competition. As a shepherd, you must take care of your flock of sheep and protect them from wolves. The player can run around the playing area, clicking on sheep to shear their wool and earn cash. The color of the sheep changes as they are sheared, from white to red to yellow, with later wool colors giving the player more money. Eventually the sheep turns blue ('platinum'). The object of the game is to shear ten platinum sheep.

Wolves appear every so often; the player must click them to push them away and knock them off the edge of the playfield before they eat the sheep. Money can be spent to buy additional sheep or new attacks, such as a whirlwind attack or the ability to set down landmines. Additionally the player can set down a salt lick which attracts all sheep. The game is over if the wolves manage to eat all the sheep.
