Sherlock Holmes: Vozvraschenie Moriarty
Description
Sherlock Holmes: Vozvraschenie Moriarty (Sherlock Holmes: Return of Moriarty) is a 2D point-and-click adventure game inspired by a Soviet TV series (1979-1986) adaptation of a classical stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle about Sherlock Holmes. The actors Vasiliy Livanov (Sherlock Holmes) and Vitaliy Solomin (Dr. Watson) of these TV series provide the Russian voices for this game.
The protagonist Sherlock Holmes is accompanied by Dr. Watson. After the Reichenbach Falls incident the dead body of Moriarty was resurrected with a help of a magical pentagram. This allows him to create a more terrific world domination plan. To prevent this plan Sherlock Holmes is involved with cases during four chapters including a theft of Stradivarius violin, a black sect with Jack the Ripper, a return of the Hound of the Baskervilles and finally encountering Moriarty himself at the top of the Mayan pyramid in Mexico.
Most of the time Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson are guided between static or side-scrolling screens, collecting or using the scattered items, and talking to characters to gain more items or information. The cursor has states (walk / get / talk) auto-selected on hovering over an interactive spot with auto-updated spot description.
