Shrek (included games)

This 'Two-Disc Special Edition' of the film Shrek contains many activities and mini-games.

Disc One. In addition to the film this disc contains:

• The Making of Shrek - a documentary
• Sneak Peek - trailer for the 2002 film Spirit
• Filmmakers - Shrek credits
• DVD-ROM - a collection of activities and mini games. These games are described in a DVD menu but are played on a computer. The InterActual product must be installed on the players' machine to play these games, they are all 'flash' games that are played within an InterActual window or failing that within a browser window.
  • Shrek's ReVoice Studio in which players can record their voice over a character and hear it as the scene is played
  • Learn to Draw Shrek
  • Gingerbread Hangman - Basic hangman but instead of adding lines to create a figure bits of the Gingerbread man are broken off
  • Soup Slam. A whack-A-Mole game that uses eyeballs in soup
  • Fairy Tale Lanes - Bowling with gnomes as skittles
  • Bugs and Slugs. A Tic-Tac-Toe game for one or two people
  • Charming Dragon. Here the player tries to catch falling charms to please the dragon
  • Coloring Pages. Print out pictures to colour in
  • Color a Scene. Another artistic option but this time the player colours the picture on the screen
  • Ogre Masks. Print and colour in masks
  • Pin The Tail On Donkey - Print out the picture and pin a tail on it
  • Fire Donkey. A side scrolling game where Donkey has to put out fires on the bridge, cross said bridge and rescue the princess
  • Shrek Pinball. Played with slug and bug flippers and an eyeball* Shrek In The Swamp Karaoke Dance Party - a short musical animation, not an activity
• Games: These games are played from the DVD;
• Mirror Mirror On The Wall: A bit like a Magic 8-Ball, the player asks a question and then clicks the 'Hear Answer' button to receive the magic mirror's words of wisdom
• Shrektacular Trivia: A series of multiple choice questions. Correct answers are rewarded with a scene from the film while incorrect answers generate humorous comments
• Production Notes -Information about the film presented in storybook style

Disc 2 contains the Shrek movie as well but with the optional film maker's commentary. It also contains:

• X-Box Game Playing Hints
• Production Notes (again)
• Technical Goofs
• DVD ROM. On Disc One this previewed games that were on that disc, this time it is a link to the Dreamworks Studio
