Shuffle!

Shuffle! is a Japanese adult fantasy romance visual novel which centers around a boy named Rin Tsuchimi, a student who attends a school for both humans and sentient non-human races, such as gods and devils. At certain points throughout the game, the player is tasked with making a decision that may influence where the story goes, as well as which of the five heroines Rin ends up with. The game features voice acting for non-player characters and contains scenes with explicit sexual content.

For decades, cracks have been opening in the fabric of reality which have allowed humans to travel to worlds in other dimensions and their inhabitants to travel to Earth. This meeting of races was uncommon until a central gateway was opened ten years ago, formally uniting the world of mortals with the worlds of gods and devils. Two years after the opening of the gateway, Rin Tsuchimi suffered a tragedy when his parents were killed in a car accident that also killed Kaede Fuyou's mother. While mourning his parents, Rin met Lisianthus, daughter of the King of the Gods, and Nerine, daughter of the King of the Devils, both of whom had gotten lost while accompanying their fathers on a trip to the human world. After reuniting the lost girls with their fathers, Rin returned to his adoptive family, the Fuyous, thinking that he would never see Lisianthus or Nerine again.

In the present, Rin Tsuchimi is a teenager who has been living with Kaede ever since the accident. Rin and Kaede are both students at the National Verbena Academy, a high school attended by both human and non-human races. One day, Rin is shocked to find that Lisianthus and Nerine have recently transferred to his school, having been sent to Earth by their fathers as potential marriage candidates for Rin. Now, Rin must decide which of the girls his heart belongs to, or whether his heart instead wants Kaede, his adoptive sister who has recently begun to get closer to him; Asa Shigure, his tomboyish classmate with whom Rin has a love-hate relationship; or Primula, a soft-spoken associate of Nerine who wants to get close to Rin after hearing about him from Nerine in the devils' realm.
