Sizzle

Sizzle is a 1-player arcade game for the VIC-20.

The player tries to collect all items on a board by walking over them. They are chased by 2 characters who chase the player around the map, moving a few squares towards the player every few turns. The first time a square is covered it turns yellow, the second time it turns red. If the player steps on a red square or is caught by their opponents, they lose a life. A level is completed by collecting all items. The player starts with 3 lives, and there are 9 levels of difficulty.
