Snake Scramble

Snake Scramble is a 1-player arcade game for the Apple II.

The player controls a progressively elongating purple snake, which moves on the screen in the 4 cardinal directions. The player tries to collect apples which randomly appear on the screen. If the player runs over their own tail or into a wall, then it's game over. The goal is to maximize score, with points awarded for the length of tail and number of apples collected.
