Solar Target

Solar Target is a horizontally scrolling shoot 'em up game. Taking place in the year 2019, alien species have hijacked the sun and it's up to the player to fight back. The games starts out in outer space where the player not only has to watch out for enemy space ships but also asteroids and huge laser beams. Ultimately the goal is to enter the aliens' mother ship but first the player has to make it through the pipelines of energy stations orbiting Saturn. The player has a regular fire that can be upgraded with power ups and a mega bomb that clears the screen of enemies. It's possible to change the fire direction and shoot upwards, downwards or backwards. In some versions there are also additional special attacks available.
