Something Novel

Something Novel is a free 2D click-and-point adventure game. It features an inventory and can be controlled via mouse.

Story

The player takes the role of J. Stanson, a multi-award-winning horror novelist and famous for tales of misery and woe. One day (June 20, 1924), he is invited by his friend and publisher James Roivas, the person who made his first book possible, to a remote mansion surrounded by water on three sides. There are also two other invitees, an unknown lady and an author of fantasy books named Alfred Nesington. At the start of the dinner, the chandelier falls down and kills James Roivas. It turns out that there is a masked killer who seeks to put J. Stanson to death too.
