Sound Novel Tkool

Sound Novel Tkool is a game creation toolkit that allows the user to create their own sound novel adventure games. It is part of ASCII's Tkool series of such software packages. It allows the player to write the text of their story, choose background and character silhouette graphics, then add music, sound effects, and visual effects from a large variety of premade assets.

Included is a sample game in two parts, which tells the story of a young man who met a mysterious girl when he was eight years old, then ten years later receives a message from her and goes to meet her again. The sample game can be used as a template or reference for the player's own game, or simply enjoyed as its own short story. Additional assets were also available for download via Nintendo's Satellaview service.
