Description
Space Games is a compilation is two space-themed arcade games for the Apple II.
Procyon Warrior - You are under attack by the spaceship Unterpriz, as well as its army of drone fighters. You must destroy all the enemy vessels before your own forces are defeated. The player controls a large and a small rocket independently, and both rockets can move left and right. The large rocket can be used only once, and the smaller rocket an infinite number of times. During each level, the player must use their small rocket to blast oncoming alien drones. After all drones are destroyed, the spaceship Unterpriz will appear. This can only be destroyed by the larger rocket. When all ships are destroyed, the player progresses to a more difficult level. If both rockets are destroyed, it is game over.
Appointment at Aldebaran - You have been assigned the task of transporting a cargo of Zilon Serum to the fifth planet of Aldebaran. To reach your destination, you must traverse an asteroid field, as well as rid yourself of the space pirates which haunt the region. The asteroids will invariably come from the front of your ship, and you must navigate around them, or else your ship will take damage. You are also armed with 15 missiles, which can be used to shoot down alien pirates. If you receive too many hits from the pirates or asteroids, you will be destroyed before you reach your destination. There are a total of 5 difficulty levels, and will receive a score for your performance.
