SPAD XIII

SPAD XIII is a World War I flight simulator for the TI-99/4A.

The player takes control of a French SPAD XIII from the cockpit, with the wings, struts, guns, instrument panel, and outside scenery appreciable. Air speed, compass, throttle, and a fuel gauge are available on the instrument panel.

The player tries to shoot down German two-seater planes and observation balloons, and bomb a German runway. Scenery includes villages, rivers, airfields, trenches, and even the Eiffel Tower. Later versions of the game introduce the Red Baron flying a Fokker triplane, who can be engaged in combat.
