Speedboat Racer

Speedboat Racer is a speedboat racing game for the MSX.

The player controls a speedboat and has to complete the course outlined by 2 buoys on a lake, in twelve laps as fast as possible. The screen displays at the bottom left the record time, the race time and water. The latter displays the wash of the waves. Extreme care must be taken in controlling wave action as the boat may capsize in very rough seas. In the middle is the speed and how much fuel there is left. It is important to keep an eye on the wind indicator that is specified by an arrow. This is where the player sees the strength and direction of the wind. At higher speeds, there is the risk of flying up in the air. The bottom right of the screen shows the player's position, how many rounds must be completed and how many laps still to go.
