Spelling Bee

Description
Spelling Bee is the first game created by the New York Times Games Expansion Team, a group created to grow the newspaper's online games selection beyond the classic crossword. This letter-based title presents the player with seven hexagons arranged in a honeycomb formation. Each shape contains a single letter with which the player can form words. Words need to be at least four characters. Letters can be used more than once in a single word, but words must always contain the center letter at least once. A meter on the top right of the screen tells the player how many words they have found and how close they are to completing the list. The game can be started for free but finishing a board or playing archived boards requires a New York Times Games subscription.
