Splatoon 2: Splatfest World Premiere

This time-limited demo of Splatoon 2 allowed players to become acquainted with the new hub area and certain basic features of the game. However, the main gameplay mode became active over a week after release, and took the form of an online multiplayer event featuring its own exclusive Splatfest. In the Japanese version, the choices were between rock and pop music, while other regions instead picked between cake and ice cream. The event lasted four hours, and four different weapon kits were available for the duration.
